Heading for Divorce

Although neither party has officially confirmed plans for a divorce, it seems that this isn't a "let's re-evaluate our relationship" sort of separation. The two released a public statement saying they separated several months ago but were hoping to keep it under wraps for the sake of their two children.

Duchovny and Leoni have been married for 11 years and have two children together, Madelaine, 9 and Kyd, 6.

His and Hers Issues

David Duchovny, as everyone knows, is an admitted sex addict, but apparently this wasn't the only issue in the marriage. Apparently, the Californication star discovered a bunch of sexually explicit text messages on his wife's phone reportedly from actor Billy Bob Thornton. Leoni and Thornton met on the set of the movie Manure.

Scorching Mess

Yes, this situation is beyond hot mess status. Here's why:

• Duchovny continues to receive outpatient treatment for "sexual compulsion proclivity" (read…sex addiction).
• Thornton currently has a girlfriend with which he has a child and has three other children from two of his past five wives.
• Leoni reportedly began seeing Thornton while she was convincing her husband to seek treatment for his addiction and continued to see him while Duchovny was in rehab.

Okay, so the question is, while most of us can understand if Leoni left Duchovny on account of his sex addiction, but…Billy Bob Thornton? What is it about that guy? He's a fantastic actor and sure, he has his own band, but his track record of being married five different times tends to leave the average woman a little bit leery. Doesn't it? It just goes to show that in Hollywood, nothing is predictable.
