If you're not watching celebrity scandals on TV, you may as well be cheering them on as they dance into tomorrow. Dancing with the Stars is as addictive and completely indulgent as celebrities themselves. Not only do you get to watch your favorite stars learn new talent, you get to vote on their performances! Although not everybody is a reality TV buff, if you haven’t tuned in to a Dancing with the Stars episode, you’ve missed out on a whole lot of fun and suspense.

ABC’s totally original reality show pairs 12 well known celebrities with 12 highly trained professional dancers and puts them to work mastering moves on the dance floor. The competition winner is determined by which celebrity successfully masters their professional partner’s lead and learns each step graciously, each and every week during a live broadcast competition. Candidates are judged by an expert panel of judges along with at home viewers and are voted off and eliminated each and every week until a winner takes the prized title.

Competition is fierce and training is brutal, as the stars must learn tricky maneuvers and moves while pairing them with grace and eloquence which may or may not, come naturally. Every week fans cheer on their favorite pair of costumed dancers as the contestant list whittles down.

The sixth season of Dancing with the Stars debuted on March 17, 2008. The season six contestants are paired up as follows:

Perhaps she didn’t shake her hips the way her ex-husband did, as Priscilla Presley left early this season. Another graceful candidate better known for her role in the movie American Pie, Shannon Elizabeth waltzed her way out of the reality T.V. competition. Sadly, not every star shines as bright on the dance floor as they do on the big screen.

Dancing with the Stars contestants have a dance schedule that is pre-arranged, allowing for proper planning, dance instruction and plenty of practice.

Expect to watch the stars dance away to the following steps this season:

Week One: Cha-cha-cha or the Foxtrot

Week Two: Mambo or the Quickstep

Week Three: Tango or Jive

Week Four: Paso Doble or Vienna Waltz

Week Five: Rumba or the Samba

Week Six: One unlearned dance and a Country Style group dance

Week Seven: Unlearned dances

Week Eight: Final two unlearned dances

Week Nine: Ballroom and Latin dances

Week Ten: Will include Judge’s choice, Freestyle, Returning Star’s Dance, and the Favorite Dance of the Season

Tune in every week until the winner is announced on May 20th, 2008. For those who can’t get enough of the dancing reality series, expect that Dancing with the Stars will return for a seventh season, igniting the dance floor with more raw talent and a season full of suspense.
