One of the more rapidly growing areas on the Internet is celebrity news and gossip Web sites. The variety of sites is on the rise, but here are some of the more memorable. Of course, these sites may offer some unconfirmed information, so you should take their gossip with a grain of salt.

• TMZ.com – TMZ has built an empire on celebrity gossip, and is notorious for snagging celebrity gossip as it unfolds. They are often the first to report on celebrity news, with plenty of exclusives, including documents, videos and photos.
• Perez Hilton – The self-proclaimed “Queen of all Media,” Perez Hilton (aka Mario Lavandeira Jr.) puts his own spin on celebrity gossip, often times with a snarky edge and the addition of his own visuals to embellish the story.
• Just Jared – JustJared.com provides plenty of great photographs and current gossip to get you through the day!

There are plenty of other excellent sources for current celebrity news, including:

• Yahoo! News – If you want celebrity news as it is happening, check in with Yahoo! News’ entertainment section periodically. The stories are updated quite regularly, with a time stamp indicating when the story was posted. If you check in throughout the day, you may see the latest celebrity news within minutes of the article being posted.
