Courtney Love Loses Custody
The always dramatic and embattled Courtney Love loses custody of her daughter Frances Bean…again.
Not the First Go Around
No one could make the argument that Courtney love isn't a train wreck. She was a train wreck before she married Kurt Cobain and she continues to be one long after his death. Anyone with a heart has to feel at least a tiny twinge of pity for Love and Cobain's daughter Frances Bean.
To her credit, the girl seems to be pretty well adjusted given the fact that her dad died when she was really young and her mom has been in and out of rehab for decades. When Frances was just two weeks old, the couple lost custody of her due to some comments Courtney made in an interview that she said were "…taken out of context". The two eventually won custody again and welcomed their daughter back into their home. Cobain died in 1994; it seems that Love never really cleaned up her act and in 2003, she lost custody of her daughter again.
The End of the Custody Battle
With 17 year old Frances now in the care of her paternal grandmother and auntie, what do they have to say about all of this? Nothing. Grandma and aunt Kim have chosen to take the quiet road and make no comment. The judge even took it a step further and issued a temporary restraining order against Love.
Of course, Courtney Love is ranting and raving about the situation on Facebook. Among her little nuggets of wisdom, she claims that it isn't Frances with all the money, it's her. Love must be talking about the trust fund left to Frances by her late father. The one she tried to access and the one in which she tried to switch trustees but was denied.
Thankfully, with Frances being 17, she really only has one more year before she can pack her things and walk away from this whole mess.
