Conans Golden Parachute

Conan O'Brien

Who wouldn't want a severance package like Conan's golden parachute?

Finally, the End

The whole talk show wars between Conan O'Brien, NBC and Jay Leno were kind of a bore. The best part of the whole fiasco were all the jokes other comedians and talk show hosts made regarding the whole deal. Well, finally, the end is here and we can all stop hearing about millionaire men who sit around and talk to other people for a living.

The Massive Dollar Amounts

Conan's golden parachute includes a total of $45 million for Conan and $7.5 million for his staffers. The only caveat is that Conan can't work another hosting gig until September of 2010. Ouch. Kidding. Come on now, the man was just paid $45 million dollars, so he's out of work for the next six months or so. Things have to be rough if a person can't make it for months on $45 mil.

In the meantime, NBC plans on airing reruns of The Tonight Show until Jay Leno returns as The Tonight Show host in March 2010. For his part, Conan is claiming to try to "…make the best" out of a bad situation.

So, all you Conan fans can rest easy - you can bet that this red-haired self proclaimed dork will be back on the air before you all know it. Hopefully, in his proper time slot, where so many loved him for so many years.
