Celebrity Scandal
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Whether they admit it or not, everyone loves a celebrity scandal.
One Celebrity Scandal After Another
No matter what type of celebrity scandal, it's difficult to keep up. These days, it seems as though celebs just can't keep themselves scandal free. Alright, so there are a choice few celebrities whose names rarely appear in tabloid headlines, then there are others whose names are rarely out of the tabloid headlines.
Celebrity Scandal: The Ladies
It seems, especially lately, that female celebrities are finding themselves involved in scandals much more than their male counterparts. Let's take a look.
Britney
There are just too many scandals to list for Brit-Brit, so here is the short list:
- Kevin Federline – Federline has turned out to be a knight in shining armor…for Sean and Jayden that is, not so much for Britney. Her scandalous downhill slide began when she married him, continued when she divorced him and exploded when she fought him for custody of their kids.
- The head shaving – Who does that? You have a bad day and decide to shave your hair off, in front of a wall of windows surrounded by paparazzi? Only Britney.
- Her major meltdown – In January of 2007, Britney refused to turn over her kids when her visitation with them was over. This tantrum of sorts resulted in her being hauled off to the hospital in order to undergo a "mental evaluation."
Jamie Lynn Spears
Jamie Lynn always seemed the most level headed of the Spears sister, but that assumption turned out to be decidedly untrue when she announced in January 2007 that, at the age of 16, she is pregnant.
This celebrity scandal is still unfolding. Various reports state that Jamie Lynn was dumped by her boyfriend and assumed father of the baby, Casey Aldridge. The reason? He doesn't believe the baby is his and is demanding a paternity test. Rumors are circling that Jamie Lynn is actually pregnant with an older TV producer's baby.
Vanessa Hudgens

The High School Musical sweetheart surprised everyone with her nude photo scandal. Solid details of the story remain sketchy. Some reports state that Vanessa took the pics for boyfriend Zac Efron's eyes only, while others state that they were taken before Vanessa became famous.
In order to make the scandal go away as soon as possible, Vanessa owned up to the images and apologized for her behavior. She's only 18 -- her career and reputation will recover.
Rosie O'Donnell/Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Mix a few strong, opinionated women together, throw in some politics and add a dash of war and you have the makings of a daytime talk show verbal smack-down. Here's the jist:
Rosie "…when I asked you if you believed what the Republican pundits were saying, you said nothing and that's cowardly."
Elisabeth "…No, no, no. DO NOT call me a coward, because number one I sit her everyday, open my heart and tell people exactly what I believe."
Rosie "Do you believe that I think our troops are terrorists? And you would not even look me in the face, Elisabeth, and say, 'No, Rosie.' "
Elisabeth "You are an adult, and I'm not going to be the person for you to explain your thoughts. ... Defend your own insinuations."
Rosie went on to complain that the media was making her look like a bully, stating that every time she tried to defend herself that it was "…poor little Elisabeth I'm picking on." Shortly after the tirade, O'Donnell left the show.
Celebrity Scandal: The Gentlemen
Lane Garrison
"Tweener" on the Fox series Prison Break was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide stemming from a car accident involving himself and three underage passengers. One boy was 17, while the two female passengers were 15 at the time of the accident.
The 17 year old boy died as a result of his injuries when Garrison's SUV struck a tree and one of the 15 year old female passengers suffered a broken pelvis and arm. Garrison's Blood Alcohol Content at the time of the fatal accident was around .16, twice the legal limit in the state of California. Reports also state that cocaine was found in Garrison's system.
Lane Garrison plead guilty and was sentenced to 40 months in prison.
David Hasselhoff
For someone that has spent his career playing men that rescue other people, it seems that "The Hoff" can't rescue himself from his own demons. In May of 2007, a video of Hasslehoff, laying on a floor, drunk, shirtless and attempting to eat a burger, surfaced. His daughters were the ones that took the video and Hasselhoff was "working on his issue" and made this statement "part of recovery is relapse." This statement begs the question: "Isn't recovery fighting every second of every day in order to not relapse?" Apparently not according to "The Hoff."
Michael Vick
Football superstar Michael Vick was indicted on federal dog fighting charges when his Virginia home was raided, with police finding over 66 dogs, a dog fighting ring and blood soaked carpets. At first, Vick denied any involvement, but witnesses soon came forward and there was no way out for the star quarterback. He was sentenced to two years in prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines. The largest price Vick will end up paying for being involved in something so cruel and inhumane is that it is unlikely that he will ever play football again. Serves him right.
Too Many to Include
The list of celebrity scandals is enormous and there is no way they can all be included in this article. As long as there are celebrities out there, celebrity scandal will surely follow them around.Comments
