Britney Spears Gives Birth
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
Although recent gossip purported Britney was expecting a girl, on September 12, 2006, Britney Spears gave birth to a 6 pound, 11 ounce baby boy. The child was born at the UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center in California.
Original Plans
Reportedly, Spears' original intent was to schedule a c-section delivery on September 14, the same day her first child was born, but hubby Kevin Federline opposed to the idea. While no official word has come down as to the name of the pop star's newborn, the couple had originally planned to name a baby girl Jailynn -- a combined tribute to Spear's parents, Jamie and Lynn.
To celebrate the occasion, a nude billboard of a very pregnant Britney Spears will grace Tokyo subways in an advertisement of the recently published Harper's Bazaar. While critics originally complained the photo is obscene, officials ruled it is an appropriate tribute to maternal beauty.
What's Next for Britney Spears?
With Spears' losing points with Forbes, it is not surprising that she is planning on going back to work as soon as possible – dazzling fans with suggestive costumes, thoughtless comments, bubble gum lyrics, and high energy dancing. After all, she has a husband, two children, and two stepchildren to support now.
In a recent interview with People that she plans to release a new album and return to touring in 2007, and on Dateline NBC in June 2006, she announced that she will designing a new line of baby clothing – please, God, no infant thong underwear!
Comments
Britney named her baby Sutton Pierce Federline, which gives him the same initials as his big brother.
