Reports were swirling February 16, 2007 that Britney Spears had a brief stay at a rehab facility earlier in the week. Later in the day, the press reported Britney was seen at a tattoo parlor with a shaved head.
Britney’s Wild Ways
Following her divorce from Kevin Federline, Britney Spears has made tabloid headlines for her excessive partying, including a panty-less outing with pal Paris Hilton. On New Year’s Eve, Spears reportedly collapsed but attributed it to “exhaustion.” Her parenting skills have been in question in the wake of her wild outings. Spears has two young children.
In January 2007, Spears responded to fans on her Web site, saying, “I've been far from perfect and the media has had a lot of fun exaggerating my every move."
Brief Stint at Rehab
The entertainment television show, Extra, first broke the news on February 16 that Spears checked into Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Centre in Antigua earlier in the week. People magazine and TMZ.com later reported the pop star checked out after only one day, according to an unnamed source. Of course, her representatives have made no comment about whether the star was in rehab.

Britney Spears' former assistant is speaking out about Brit’s out-of-control behavior. An email from Felicia Culotta, who worked for Spears for 10 years, posted on a Hollywood.com gossip blog. Culotta says she is “crushed/saddened/heart sick by the way her [Britney's] life is unfolding" and that friends and family are trying to get Spears help before she hits "rock bottom."

A bold new look for Britney? Spears was spotted the evening of February 16 at a California tattoo parlor, sporting a decidedly different look. In place of her usual flowing locks, Spears had shaved her head, which she reportedly did herself. Los Angeles news channel KABC-TV posted video of the newly bald Spears on its Web site. Witnesses say Britney asked a hairdresser to shave her head and when she refused, Britney did it herself. Her entourage then headed from the hair salon to the tattoo parlor where she requested a dainty tat of some lips on her wrist. Several fans on the scene told press that Spears looked "horrible."
