Bobby Brown’s Star Status Plummets…Again

Troubled R&B artist Bobby Brown cannot catch a break these days. Not only has Whitney Houston, his wife of 14 years, filed for a legal separation, but now there is another warrant for Bobby’s arrest in his home state of Massachusetts. And if that’s not bad enough, Brown has recently joined Tara Reid and Chyna Doll in the ever-growing list of B-, C-, and D- list celebs who have been denied access to the trendy LA hot spot, Hyde.
The Honeymoon’s Over
After all of the rumors and insinuations about Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston’s marriage - she’s gay, they’re on drugs, he beats her, she pays his child support - Houston, in what seems to be a last ditch effort at reviving her once shining career, has decided to end her marriage to bad boy/deadbeat dad Brown. The erstwhile diva has sited “irreconcilable differences” in her petition to legally end the marriage. Brown was served papers while having dinner with Karrine “Superhead” Steffans, with whom he’s staying since he was “asked to leave” the Atlanta home he shared with Houston. But the notorious video vixen swears that their relationship is purely platonic; she’s only being a friend in his time of need. Right...
A Wanted Man!
In what has now become all too common with the on-again, off-again New Edition member, a judge in Massachussetts has issued a warrant for Bobby Brown’s arrest if he even steps a big toe within state lines. The warrant is for failing to appear before the judge on allegations that Brown is late, by two months and $11,000, on his child support payments to ex-girlfriend Kim Ward. Ward is the mother of two of Brown’s children, LaPrincia and Bobby, Jr., but this is nothing new.
In March of 2004, Brown spent a night in jail for missing his child support payments to Ward. He was actually sentenced to 90 days in jail in June of that year for the same thing, until Whitney and her checkbook came to the rescue to pay the $15,000 in overdue support. How much shall we wager that he doesn’t keep up payments for his and Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, either?
Hostess Denies Bobby Brown at Hyde
So many people cruise right on into Hyde, the trendiest of the LA hot spots, on any given night: Paris Hilton, American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry, and Pamela Anderson, to name a few. They get star treatment and are waved right in by the bouncers. Bobby Brown, however, stood in front of the velvet rope like an eager 12 year old hoping to get chosen at a b-ball pick-up game. Luckily, the paparazzi were there to capture the whole shameful event for the cameras, taunting Brown, and saying, “Don’t they know you’re Bobby Brown?”
Yeah, they do. That’s why he’s standing on the sidewalk.
