Biggest Loser Contestants Get Engaged

On a show where being a loser is a good thing, The Biggest Loser season three finalists Marty Wolff and Amy Hildreth added one more accomplishment to their plate – getting engaged.
About the Proposal
With their reality celebrity status and a reunion show called The Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now?, the opportunity for a proposal easily presented itself. In the vein of the reality show proposal from Rob Mariano to Amber Brkich on the finale of Survivor: All-Stars, Wolff seized the moment to seal the deal.
"Tonight, right here, I'm going to be proposing to my lovely Amy Hildreth," Wolff told host Alison Sweeney during the show. During Hildreth’s weigh-in, the scale displayed the message "Amy I Love You," rather than her weight.
Hildreth, understandably, wasn’t aware of her boyfriend’s intentions until Wolff read a heartfelt letter that included the line “I came here to lose weight and I found my soul mate. I want to take care of you forever.” Naturally, she accepted his proposal.
About the Reunion
Reunion shows are a great extension of reality programs, giving viewers the opportunity to hear more about participants’ experiences on the show. In the case of The Biggest Loser, nine former contestants were brought back to see how their hard work during the show paid off afterwards. And, most importantly, to see if they kept their weight off – all of them were successful with maintaining their weight loss.
The fourth season of The Biggest Loser begins at 8 p m. on September 11, 2007.
