Best Celebrity Tippers
From LoveToKnow Celebrity
The best celebrity tippers seem to understand that not everyone is raking in the cash like they are. These kind-hearted big spenders appreciate the good service that they get when they visit any establishment and tip with a generous hand.
Serving Celebrities
Any wait staff, doorman, valet or other employee in the service industry knows that tips increase their sometimes meager salaries. When a celebrity walks in, most people would assume that a big tip is in his or her future. Many hard working servers put in overtime to accommodate celebrities and their entourages and bend over backwards to ensure everything is perfect. A good tip should be a sign from anyone, especially stars who can afford to be generous, that this extra work is appreciated.
This isn't always the case, of course, as there are some notoriously bad tippers among the stars. Some, however, understand that leaving a big tip will ensure good service in the future. The good press that follows sure doesn't hurt, either!
The Best Celebrity Tippers
So who are these big hearted celebrities that tip so well? One of the best is actor Johnny Depp, who has been in the news on more than one occasion for his generous tipping.
Depp brought a party of 15 folks, including his co-star and the director of his most recent film, Public Enemies, to a Chicago establishment called Gibson's Bar and Steakhouse. The tip was worth $4,400, which was split between the restaurant's twelve employees. On another occasion, he left a $1,500 tip for a bill that totaled $2,600.
Those who have waited on Depp say that he is soft-spoken and doesn't make demands of the staff. He apparently doesn't like to be treated any differently than the other customers. Isn't that refreshing?
