Audrina Patridge Photo Scandal

The Photos

The photos Audrina "…intended to be artistic" began making the rounds on the Internet a few days ago. They feature the then 19-year old Patridge in various states of undress. Patridge says that she took the photos and sent them to Playboy magazine in hopes of landing a modeling gig. Playboy declined and the racy pics recently surfaced on the Internet.

The Reaction

Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and Lauren Bosworth (known as "Lo") were promoting the show on Ryan Seacrest's talk show on KIIS FM when Seacrest busted out one of the topless photos of Audrina. "That's not nice Ryan," was Lauren Conrad's reaction and a quick change of topic was made by all three of the girls as Ryan tried to press the issue.

Audrina stands by her photos stating that she "has no regrets."

Perfect Timing?

This "scandal" comes just a week before the second part of season three of The Hills is to begin, so is this a case of a perfectly-timed-scandal-for-publicity? Who knows, but it does seem a little familiar to a certain celebutante's "leak" of a sex tape in 2003 right before her show was to begin. Not that both situations aren't embarrassing for both ladies involved, but reality show stars' minds seem to work a bit differently when the lights and cameras are on them. Not to mention, the "scandals" bring more than a little publicity to not only the reality stars themselves, but their shows as well.
