Papers Served
According to People Online, Anna Nicole Smith was served with papers on October 20, ordering her to leave her Bahamian residence by October 31. The property was originally purchased by a developer from South Carolina named G. Ben Thompson. Thompson claims to have purchased the house as a favor to Smith, and she would in turn take over the mortgage. No mortgage has been paid, as Smith insists the house was a gift. Thompson’s response? “I don’t have that kind of money.” Thompson claims it’s not his intention to embarrass or humiliate Smith. All he wants is payment in the form of “money or collateral.”
