Actress Bai Ling Arrested for Shoplifting

Who is Bai Ling?
While Bai Ling isn’t necessarily a household name, she has appeared in a number of high profile movies and television roles, including The Crow, Lost and Entourage.
She is also widely known for her appearance on the VH1 celebrity talent show But Can They Sing? - where she showed off her outrageous outfits and unique singing talents.
Shoplifting Incident
On February 13, Ling was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after she tried to shoplift items totaling $16 in an LAX gift shop. The items she tried to lift included two celebrity gossip magazines and batteries, strangely enough.
The actress was on her way to Albuquerque, New Mexico to film Love Ranch, a movie starring Helen Mirren and Joe Pesci.
Blame it on the Breakup
While it wasn’t initially known why the actress would steal, she later told E! News that a failed relationship was to blame: "[That's the] huge problem of breaking up [before] Valentine's Day. Wrong boyfriend."
Ling’s friend commented that the actress was in "a mentally unstable state of mind.... She was distracted."
While the identity of the ex-boyfriend is unknown, Ling has been linked with singer Chris Isaak and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter.
Facing Charges
Bai Ling will appear in court March 5 to face shoplifting charges. Whether the incident will impact her career is yet to be seen.
